EuroHub4Sino Workshop 18 February 2025

The workshop served two primary purposes. First, it opened a space for experts across various industries and professions to share and combine their diverse knowledge on Chinese political strategy. This not only allowed the participants to broaden their horizon and bring new perspectives into their specialised work. It also served to create effective networks that spans both professional siloes and national boundaries. With participants from the UK, Germany, Poland, the Czeck Republic, Sweden, and other countries, the event contributed to the construction of an intra-European area of knowledge production. It also helped to connect European experts with Chinese and American counterparts, strengthening their visibility on the international stage.

Second, the results from the workshop will inform scholarly work in Chatham House's Asia-Pacific programme. We will draw from the expert insights gathered over the event to inform a long research paper
on China's response to US containment. This paper will feed into EuroHub4Sino's analytical workstream and be published on the project websie. Thus, it will further increase the impact of the workshop on Europe's strategic community. It will be published on the Chatham House website, ensuring global reach within the international policymaking community.
